ISR Assistant Research Scientist Raj Madhavan will serve as the next Vice President of the IEEE Robotics Automation Society's (RAS) Industrial Activities Board (IAB) for the 2012-2013 term. Madhavan was nominated and confirmed by the RAS administrative committee. The president, president-elect, and six VPs form the executive committee and set the agenda for the RAS's activities.

During his tenure, Madhavan hopes to bring together industry, academia, and government, and address how the RAS can assist in bridging the gap between these communities.
