Professor Jonathan Z. Simon was an invited lecturer at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory summer course, "Neural Data Science.?

The course is designed to help neuroscience practitioners (advanced grad students and early postdocs) develop the conceptual and practical capabilities they will need to analyze large functional datasets. Specifically emphasized are statistical issues such as pre-processing of data, sampling biases, estimation methods and hypothesis testing. The course gives a solid conceptual and technical grounding in widely used techniques such as spectral analysis, information theory, and multivariate analysis.

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is world-renowned as a private, not-for-profit research and education institution at the forefront of molecular biology and genetics. The laboratory is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year.
