Professor Jonathan Simon (ECE/Biology/ISR) was the invited opening speaker at the Paris Workshop on Decoding of Sound and Brain, Nov. 5-6 in Paris. He spoke on ?Neural Representations of the Cocktail Party in Human Auditory Cortex.?
Alumna Mounya Elhilali (EE Ph.D. 2004), a former student of Professor Shihab Shamma (ECE/ISR) also was a presenter, speaking on ?Investigating Auditory Bottom-Up Attention.? Elhilali is an associate professor at Johns Hopkins University.
