On Dec. 5, Associate Professor Jeffrey Herrmann's (ME/ISR) capstone course ENES 489P "Hands-On Systems Engineering Projects" held an Undergraduate Systems Engineering Design Conference. Six teams presented the results of their model-based systems engineering design projects.

The presentations and projects were judged by a distinguished panel, including Terry Jaggers, President, Excela Ventures; Bob Beaton, Chief Human Performance and Survival Factors, National Transportation Safety Board; Tamara Valinoto, Principal Systems Architect, Northrop Grumman Corp., Electronic Systems Sector; Donald York, TASC Technical Fellow and Senior Systems Engineer, TASC, Inc.; and Brooks Polk, Systems Engineer III, ManTech International Corp.

The top three teams were awarded prizes sponsored by ManTech International Corp.
