A paper by Assistant Professor Alireza Khaligh (ECE/ISR), ECE Faculty Research Assistant Serkan Dusmez, and Dr. Khaligh's Ph.D. student Junyi Shen received the Third Place Poster Paper Award at the 14th Annual Science & Engineering Technology Conference/Defense Tech Exposition. The paper was titled, "Enhanced Hybrid Battery/Ultracapacitor Energy Storage System for Next Generation Electric Transportation."

The conference was held April 24-26 at the National Harbor complex in Maryland.
