Associate Professor Pamela Abshire (ECE/ISR) has been elected to the Board of Governors for the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.

She also serves as the society's representative to the IEEE Sensors Council and is the chair of Women in Circuits and Systems.

And at the upcoming IEEE Sensors Conference in Taipei on Oct 28, Abshire is organizing an event where colleagues can quickly get to know each others' research interests, which she is calling "research speed dating."
