Paper on stair-climbing robot wins award at CLAWAR 2012
?A quadruped robot with on-board sensing and parameterized gait for stair climbing,? was a runner up for the Best Paper Award at the 15th International Conference on Climbing and Walking Robots and the Support Technologies for Mobile Machines (CLAWAR 2012) in Baltimore in July.
The paper was written by Professor S.K. Gupta (ME/ISR), his graduate student Tom Brewer, and his postdoctoral researcher Krishna Kaipa.
More than 100 papers were presented at this conference; there was one best paper award and two runner-up awards.
