Congratulations to Profesor Dana Nau (CS/ISR) who will be honored with a 60th birthday symposium May 24-25. The Computer Science Department, University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS) and ISR will be sponsoring the symposium to honor Nau's contributions to automated planning, diagnostic inference, adversarial and game theoretic reasoning, and automated manufacturing. Researchers from around the world will gather in College Park to celebrate, and a special "Festschrift" book in honor of Nau is expected to appear towards the end of 2012 consisting of selected papers from the symposium.
