Dr. Anthony Ephremides

Professor Tony Ephremides (ECE/ISR) was invited to deliver a plenary keynote at National Taiwan University during the first International Workshop on Machine to Machine Technology (M2M 2011).

Ephremides spoke on “A Broader View of Cooperation in Wireless Networks.” The talk reviewed the significant potential of cooperative communications to improve the performance of wireless communications through MIMO transceivers. This talk also addresses a broad view of Cooperation in Wireless Networks, demonstrating the effectiveness of simple communication without MIMO technology.

Ephremides notes that he was "greatly honored to be a plenary speaker at this very high-quality symposium."

Held on October 31, 2011 in Taipei, Taiwan, M2M conference thought-leaders strove to build a vision to define the future of M2M technologies and the ways it will impact the world, specifically in every-savings, intelligent transportation, healthcare, food production, environment monitoring, anti-terrorism and smart living space, for example. The workshop was hosted by Intel-NTU and technically sponsored by IEEE Taipei Section.  Learn more about the first International Workshop on Machine to Machine Technology by visiting this link: http://ccc.ntu.edu.tw/m2mworkshop/index.php/en/homepage-en.
