ISR-affiliated Associate Professor Dave Akin (AE) and his Space Systems Laboratory are back in the news. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center is planning to award a cooperative research agreement to the lab for research and technology development in dexterous robotic manipulation for space applications. NASA calls Akin's lab "uniquely qualified to perform these dexterous space robotics technology efforts based on their specialized expertise obtained from numerous related research projects, including the Ranger Telerobotic Shuttle Experiment." | info at SpaceRef.com |
