Alkan Soysal (Ph.D., '08)

 

ECE alumnus Alkan Soysal (Ph.D., '08) has joined the faculty of Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul, Turkey. He is currently serving as assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Soysal received his B.S. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2002, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Maryland in 2006 and 2008, respectively. He was advised by Sennur Ulukus (ECE/ISR).

Soysal's research interests are in wireless communication theory, information theory and signal processing for wireless communications with particular focus on MIMO networks.
