Fox 5 reporter Holly Morris interviews the Robotics@Maryland team inside the Neutral Buoyancy Research Facility.

Television station WTTG Fox 5 broadcast live from the Neutral Buoyancy Research Facility (NBRF) and from the Kim Building Plaza Thursday morning. The NBRF is the home of the ISR-affiliated Space Systems Laboratory, directed by ISR-affiliated Associate Professor Dave Akin (AE).

The Washington, D.C., station interviewed students from Robotics@Maryland, which recently won an international Autonomous Underwater Vehicle competition and is hosting a land-based small robot speedway competition this weekend. The team is made up of students from the A. James Clark School of Engineering as well as other colleges on campus. Robotics@Maryland has offices at ISR in the A.V. Williams Building and is advised by Akin and Assistant Professor Nuno Martins (ECE/ISR).

Other student teams including TerpsRacing and researchers from the Autonomous Vehicle Lab had their technology on display as well.
