Professor Behtash Babadi

Professor Behtash Babadi

 

Professor Behtash Babadi has been appointed as the next Associate Chair for Graduate Studies for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.  He is succeeding the position from Professor Sennur Ulukus who is the newly appointed Department Chair.

 

Babadi holds joint appointments with ECE and the Institute for Systems Research, and is an affiliate faculty member with the Brain and Behavior Institute.  He received his Ph.D. and M.SC. Degrees in Engineering Sciences from Harvard University.  He joined ECE in 2014 after post-doctoral work at the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.  His research interests include statistical and adaptive signal processing, neural signal processing, and systems neuroscience. 

 

In addition, Bababi has been honored with the E. Robert Kent Teaching Award for Junior Faculty, a National Science Foundation Early Career Development (CAREER) Award, and a Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Merit Fellowship from Harvard University.
